A crop circle is a circular depression in a field of, usually, grain crops. Crop circles are usually circular, and usually explained as the work of a brief whirlwind, or of hoaxers. In recent years crop circles have become more and more complex, leading some to theorise a non-human artificial origin. Excatly why aliens would want to create pictures of Elvis is unclear.
